Cochrane, ON – (March 30, 2026) – NIVO, inspired by CochraneTel, is proud to announce the awarding of its bi-annual Women in STEM Scholarship, continuing its commitment to supporting and empowering young women pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

This year’s scholarship recipient, Suha Abdalla, has demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and a strong passion for advancing innovation in STEM fields. Suha is a student in the Mining Engineering Technician program at Northern College, where she is focused on developing strong technical and practical skills for a future career in the mining industry – a field she is deeply passionate about.

Her international education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering, and she is now continuing her studies in Canada, a place that has provided her with the opportunity for a new beginning and a meaningful academic journey. Suha expressed her gratitude to her college and to the CochraneTel Women in STEM Scholarship program for the valuable support that is helping her pursue her academic and professional goals. She noted that the scholarship has given her a strong motivation to keep moving forward and hopes to one day give back and support future generations.
