CochraneTel Awards Women in STEM Scholarship to Northern College Student

Cochrane, ON – (November 25, 2025) – CochraneTel is proud to announce the presentation of its bi-annual Women in STEM Scholarship to Northern College Student Ashley Bruneau, during the Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards Ceremony held at the Timmins Campus of Northern College, on November 19, 2025.
Ashely Bruneau, a second-year Civil Engineering Technician student at Northern College, was selected for her strong academic performance, dedication to her field, and clear vision for her future. Bruneau plans to ultimately obtain her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, with the goal of building a career in the mining sector in Northern Ontario.
Representing the company at the awards ceremony was Roxanne DesRoches, General Manager of CochraneTel, who personally presented the award to Bruneau for her achievements.
“CochraneTel is committed to supporting young women pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics,” said DesRoches. “Ashley’s ambition, talent, and drive are exactly what this scholarship is meant to encourage. We are excited to see her continue to excel and contribute to the growth of the north,” DesRoches added.
